When Things Go Wrong...

So, in July I filmed the vocal video footage for my original CCM song "I Need Mercy". This is an old song that I wanted to make a video to because I had a fun idea for it 😁
I captured the footage and then got braces on. Unfortunately, I chose a shirt with green leaves in it so when I removed the green screen it also took chunks of my shirt with it. If you look closely at the footage below you can see right through me to the background 😬 (see circled and arrowed area), which means I need to refilm! But I am not refilming with braces on, so.... the reshoot (and release) will have to wait until early next year. And so it goes sometimes!

Well, Here it is--my first conceptual oil painting

Well, Here it is--my first conceptual oil painting. Be kind. I have no training and I know my figures look like cartoons. Pulling this concept off with my current skill level was a challenge, but I finished it and I can be proud of that fact.

Hopefully the messaging evokes reflection within the viewer. For me it represents the voices we entertain—and carry within ourselves—as we journey toward love, truth, and spiritual wholeness.

Every thought that you think that manifests into reality is an act of creativity. We are all creating,all the time. The question is what will you create today that's worth your time, energy and focus?

I'm curious how my creative friends work.

For me, the key to high creative output is cyclical effort. Although I will often dedicate a major chunk of the day to one single medium, I also do small bits on other projects and cycle back around to things after a break. I feel like this movement inspires and invigorates my creativity across fields. The diversity of mediums is a necessity for me and augments, rather than detracts, from my work. In other words, I thrive on a multiplicity of tasks and skills. How do you work?
