I’m in my second year of a really great program. Let me tell you briefly about it, as it may be a great resource for you. It’s called The Mission Driven Mom Academy. It’s a principle-based program anchored in great books. Level one focuses on self-care and ordering your life for success. Level two, which I am currently in, focuses on the identification and pursuit of truth through discovering and applying true principles. There’s some heavy reading involved and lots of opportunities for deep thinking, which I love. If you’re looking for a self-paced program that’s focuses on developing yourself and your family culture instead of a business-oriented personal development course, this is definitely one to check out.
I learned a very important distinction in this class that I have been able to apply to clarifying my purpose for this site and clarifying my message in general. Again, this class has zero focus on business, but nonetheless I have been able to apply what I’ve learned to help me begin to solve a long-term problem. I love how education does that!
I was on the phone with a dear friend last night and she, as only a dear friend can, pointed out some glaring problems with my approach to sharing online. I knew she was right. I just didn’t know how to solve the problem. Her remarks got me thinking and suddenly I could see how the knowledge I gained from this totally unconnected class applied to this particular situation. I know, I’m being vague, and on purpose. I totally want to share what I learned with you because I believe it is a key element to clarifying your purpose and message when you can’t seem to mesh everything together or choose just one thing. Sadly, no business coach ever taught me this simple distinction! I’m truly amazed.
Before I share the breakthrough I want to take some time and apply it to my own situation more specifically. It’s never good to preach what you don’t practice yourself. So, why even mention it? Because I may go on a little hiatus here for a bit while I reconfigure things. But I’ll be back! Stay Tuned!
