Harry Potter Peg Doll Inspiration

I recently discovered the wonderful world of peg dolls! I used to make and design dolls when I was in my 20’s. I also used to toll paint back then (which is painting on wood), so naturally I would be drawn to these little darlings. Since October is our annual family Harry Potter party, I decided to start with some Harry Potter-themed characters. The cabinet may not be done in time, but I’ll put these where the kids can still play with them.

You can buy the unfinished wood bodies for dolls like this on amazon.

And just use pencil to draw your lines.

I used acrylic craft paint and sealed them with matte sealer. The curly hair can be purchased in the doll section of craft stores, or probably on amazon (I had it from years ago, but I know they still sell it).

I tried to shade on the white shirts, but the area is too small so it didn’t work out the way I hoped. I may be a little rusty painting on wood, but I LOVE how they turned out! I started some additional Halloween dolls that I didn’t finish today. I’ll share those as soon as I can. Happy creative living!
