Halloween Peg Dolls

I’m new to peg dolls, but I find them enchanting and have plans to create many more. My first peg dolls were Harry Potter themed. If you haven’t seen those you can check them out here.
This time I went with some traditional Halloween type figures–the witch, the ghost and the pumpkin. These super tiny ones are only about 1.5″ tall so they are a little trickier to paint on, but their tiny size makes them even more endearing. I can’t wait to see what my grandkids think of them, but no matter what, I love them!

Painting these takes me back to activities I participated in during my early 20s. Reconnecting with pre-trauma me is always a good thing! And the activity of painting and creating is a kind of personal therapy my nervous system thanks me for!

You may have noticed I bounce around between a variety of arts, crafts and creative living activities. For me, it’s important to listen to my intuition and inspiration. It may look like chaos to others, but my heart knows exactly what I need to create and express, and I try and focus on what’s inspiring me right now as much as possible. There is always a gift in each creative endeavor– joy and release being two big ones. I believe creativity is powerful so I try to live it every day. How about you? What’s your creative passion right now?
