If you’re highly creative (a multi-potentialite, Renaissance person, scanner– they call us lots of different things), an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person), an Intuitive Feeler (NF personality type), an Empath, or a woman on a healing journey, then you’ll likely get where I’m coming from on some level. Because I am all of these things.
If you can’t relate to any of these attributes, no worries! I’m glad you’re here! The tips and information I share apply to anyone seeking creative inspiration, self-care tips, and musings from a random stranger 🙂
I’ve been practicing various forms of self-care for almost fifteen years, but there is always more to learn! Especially if you’ve been through tough stuff!
I used to think that everyone was fluent in self-analysis and self-care, until I was talking to a woman one day who said, “I have no idea how to do that. How do you even begin?” I realized then that perhaps sharing what I’ve learned might benefit someone and help them on their journey of seeking greater wholeness. It took me awhile to figure it out, but this blog was born out of a desire to help other women be kinder to themselves and feel more balance and meaning in their lives (Guys you can benefit from self-care too!)
I’m also a huge believer in creativity as a form of self-care, so you’ll see me sharing a lot of creative projects on my blog. My hope is that you’ll be inspired to participate in your own creative practices, try new things, and share your results with others because when we share our creativity (and creativity is the heart expressed) we bless and inspire others, and benefit emotionally from that act of expression.
If you’d still want to know more about me you can read a summary about what my creative life has been like over the years, and how creativity (and lack thereof) affected me in dark times.
Random stuff? I love desserts and carbs (but lately they don’t love me, so I try not eat them too much). I’m a book junkie; I love to read. I’m a mom. And I have six kids in a blended family.
